Kathmandu, Pokhara and the other main towns are well covered. On the big treks, signal is surprisingly good lower down and fades as you climb: on the Everest Base Camp trek it's strong from Lukla to Namche Bazaar and gets weak and intermittent above Dingboche, and on the Annapurna Circuit it's decent through the villages up to Manang but disappears around the Thorong La pass. Many teahouses sell Wi-Fi where mobile signal runs out.
