SweetAsSIM

Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 August 2026 · Effective: 30 August 2026

1. Who you're contracting with

SweetAsSIM is a service of Rapid Roam ("Rapid Roam", "we", "us"), a New Zealand business. By buying or using a SweetAsSIM eSIM plan, you're entering into a contract with Rapid Roam on these terms. If you're buying on behalf of someone else, you're responsible for making sure they agree too. SweetAsSIM is sold to customers in New Zealand.

2. What SweetAsSIM is

SweetAsSIM sells data-only eSIM plans covering 145 countries and regional bundles (see the destinations list on the homepage for current coverage). It's a data connection only - it does not include calls or SMS, and there is no dedicated phone number attached to the plan.

3. Device compatibility

You're responsible for confirming your device supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked before buying. If your device turns out to be locked or not eSIM-compatible, you may be eligible for a refund - see our Refund Policy for the details.

4. Orders, payment, and GST

Prices are shown in NZD and charged at checkout through our payment processor, Stripe. Orders are confirmed by email with your QR code once payment succeeds. Rapid Roam is not currently registered for GST in New Zealand, so GST is not charged on any purchase. This will change once we're required to register (once we cross the relevant turnover threshold), at which point GST will be charged as required by law.

5. Validity and activation

Each plan's data allowance and validity window (for example, 1 GB for 7 days, or 20 GB for 60 days) is shown at the time of purchase. The validity clock never starts at checkout - depending on the plan, it starts either the first moment your device connects to a network at your destination, or the moment you install the eSIM profile, and each plan's page shows which applies before you buy. Plans can be purchased up to 180 days in advance of travel. Unused data does not carry over once a plan's validity window ends. If a plan hasn't activated within 180 days of purchase, the eSIM profile expires and is no longer eligible for a refund.

6. Fair use

Hotspot/tethering is included on eligible plans and counts against your plan's data allowance like any other use. We reserve the right to apply reasonable fair-use limits to prevent abuse (for example, commercial resale of the connection), and to suspend a plan used in a way that's clearly outside normal personal travel use.

7. Network availability

SweetAsSIM connects to partner mobile networks in each covered destination. Which specific partner network your device joins, and whether 4G or 5G is available, can vary by location and isn't guaranteed - coverage depends on the partner networks' own infrastructure and reception in your location.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use SweetAsSIM for anything illegal, to interfere with the networks we partner with, or to circumvent the fair-use limits above.

9. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits any guarantee or right you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 - those apply regardless of what these terms say. Rapid Roam will always represent SweetAsSIM's coverage, speeds, and pricing accurately, as required under the Fair Trading Act.

10. Liability

Beyond the consumer rights in section 9 above, and to the extent New Zealand law allows us to limit it, Rapid Roam isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from service interruptions, network outages at our partners, or your device's eSIM compatibility.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any dispute not resolved directly with us is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
